San Francisco Soon to be commuted with the Personal Transportation

California Public Utilities Commission has allowed private ferry companies PROP SF and Tideline Marine Group to run public transportation soon across the routes of San Francisco Bay.

PROP SF is looking forward to launch its commuter services in the early 2017 which will connect San Francisco’s Berkeley and Emeryville in the East Bay with Redwood City and Pier 15. On the other hand, Tideline is on the way to provide its fast services within next 30 days but with a single route that will connect Berkeley and Pier 1 ½.

The two new choices PROP SF and Tideline have been welcomed by the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA). The growing traffic jamming could be resolved with these options across the Bay Area.

CEO and the Founder of PROP SF James Jaber has announced that company’s 36 passenger ferry could carry up to 760 commuters a day. And Tideline’s three boats could carry up to 1,400 passengers daily.

PROP SF will cost riders between $8.50 and $20 for a one-way ticket, depending on the route, and Tideline President Nathan Nayman said that the round-trip fares on the Tideline Water Taxi will run between $15 and $20.

“Our vision is to see a plethora of these vessels moving up and down the bay to alleviate this congestion,” Nayman said.

Tideline will run its ferry between Berkeley and San Francisco at 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the morning. First ferry in the Afternoon will be at 4 p.m. and final boat will leave San Francisco at 7:30 P.M.
