The Apple company officials met with McLaren Automotive executives without any propositions during meeting discussions. Other reports during September mentioned Apple was touring and scoping some auto technology companies for possible investments in self-driving cars. McLaren Automotive company started producing sports cars during 2011 at approximately $150,000 for each car with fewer than 2,000 cars per year. McLaren legendary heritage auto racing Formula-1 was founded in 1963, and competing with other car racing entities nationwide and international. Although, Apple has never publicly announced the startup of building self-driving cars yet, automotive staffing and engineers have been hired for the project.
