CYBER-ATTACK ON MUNI TRANSIT SYSTEM IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The San Francisco Muni transportation system is under cyber-attack and SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is working closely with law enforcement agencies regarding this matter. The FBI (Federal Bureau Investigations) officials are working closely with SFMTA administration during the investigation. The hackers cyber-attack on muni system last Saturday leads into free passenger rides and approximately $73,000 ransom payment amount. The SFMTA transit agency offered transportation routes for drivers using hand-written materials to avoid and protect further cyber-attack damages in the transit system.

"We became aware of the potential security problem and SFMTA network system was not breached, and hackers did not gain entry through our firewalls," said Paul Rose, SFMTA Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
