The Uber self-driving autonomous cars are jeopardizing pedestrian's safety in San Francisco, and the mayor is demanding Uber administration to stop operating within the city. Uber autonomous vehicles are driving through red traffic lights and showing on video cameras, questioning the safety of other drivers and local pedestrians. The San Francisco Mayor, Ed Lee is demanding Uber to obtain a lawful permit from California DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) to operate within the city. Uber administration shared with San Francisco mayor and administration that Uber don't need an operation permit from DMV, because a driver is within the car to operate the vehicle when necessary. The San Francisco mayor highly opposed to that opinion from Uber thereafter sharing the same with DMV, and demanding Uber for a lawful permit from California DMV to operate on public roads.
"The mayor expects the same from Uber just like other companies operating autonomous vehicles, because it's required by law and it's a matter of public safety," said Ellen Canale, Spokesperson, San Francisco Mayor's Office. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
