GOOGLE APP OPENS CARPOOLING THROUGHOUT SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Google Waze app is open for carpooling as a pilot project within San Francisco Bay Area nine municipal counties. The company started the project with a select carpooling group in San Francisco and Mountain View - Waze was founded. The company mentioned using the Waze app to match drivers and commuters who work nearby everyday to share transportation. Its an effort to reduce traffic congestion on local highways and roadways as well as saving our natural environment. The Waze company officials announced partnering with University of California San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente, and MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) to promote services.
