The Alaska Airlines officials announced 13 new flight routes in the Bay Area to expand its operations in Northern California. The airlines officials are adding 3 new flights out of SJC (Mineta San Jose International Airport) and 10 new flights out of SFO (San Francisco International Airport). The competitive airlines carrier bought Virgin America in December 2016 and starting new flight routes in August 28, 2017 flights. Alaska Airlines already connects nonstop flights from SJC to 16 cities, OAK (Oakland International Airport) flights to 6 cities, and SFO to 8 cities. The new SFO additional flights will begin on multiple dates during August, September, October, and December 2017. The January 2016 reports indicate the passengers increase at 14.2% during travelers report at SJC Airport.
