The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) officials are delaying therein improvement project because of the tunnel conditions. The legendary Twin Peaks Tunnel is century old and needs improvement including replacement of railway tracks for safety reasoning. The SFMTA transit agency awarded NTK Construction as the improvement project contractor and need more time for initial project staging preparation. The starting time for the project was in April 2017, and project construction is pending to start during this Summer and complete during Summer 2018. The SFMTA administrators have committed to West Portal neighborhood residents of not having construction work during May and June this year. The plan is five closures of the Twin Peaks Tunnel with each closure to last up two weeks.
"The SFMTA staff members and contractor are working out preparation time inside the tunnel for safety before construction begins," said Paul Rose, SFMTA Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
