NEW FERRY BOATS IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) administration is opening new services with new ferries during first part of next month in April 2017. The WETA fleet will have 13 ferry vessels starting next month in addition to the new vessel called Hydrus and another new vessel in July called Cetus. These commuting vessels will certainly help with vehicular traffic congestion on San Francisco Bay Area highways and roadways. The ferry vessels will transport passengers from across the bay to San Francisco during daily round trips. The WETA strategic plan aims for a total of 44 ferry vessels by 2035 and investing $465 million for capital expenditures.
