SFO RESPONDING TO LICENSE PLATE READER IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFO (San Francisco International Airport) officials released a statement to relief people's perceptive anxiety regarding airport safety systems. It indicates the License Plate Reader system is for tracking commercial vehicles entering the facility only and not personal vehicles. The cameras usage is expanded from last year to track commercial ground transportation to calculate airport usage fees. The Airport Commission approved to share data information with local law enforcement agencies only for safety protection and usage fees. The former FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) special agent in charge said, "airport is a public access area and no exception of privacy for anybody, and if anybody is doing nothing wrong, they should not worry about anything."

"The airport use automated license plate reading technology for commercial vehicles and to provide customers an option for paying their parking by Fastrak accounts," said Doug Yakel, SFO Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
