The City of San Francisco Controller's Office released an interesting report regarding the muni vehicle maintenance record keeping and data collection. The Controller's Office released therein report to review SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) muni records of managing fleet vehicles within the city. Including overhead line trucks, inspector vehicles, and transports for fleet vehicles and reports finding lacks of control. The report identifies muni management lacking adequate controls and spending more to fix vehicles at reasonable shops. The Controller's Office report mentioned SFMTA could minimize costing amounts by improving performance and data monitoring collection practice - must have adequate controls.
