CONGESTION CARPOOL LANES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is looking as ways and means of support for enforcement regarding highway carpool lanes. The carpool lanes in San Francisco Bay Area is getting congested because of many drivers are cheating to use it unlawfully, and making it unsafe for other drivers on local highways. The MTC is working with state legislators and CHP (California Highway Patrol) for assistance to ensure drivers are not unlawfully using carpool lanes. The federal and state highway standards for carpool lanes are expected to move cars at 45 miles per hour at 90% of the time - it's not happening. Because many cheating drivers are using it along with EV (Electric Vehicle) cars and CHP will have to enforce the law. The enforcement partnership agencies are looking at increasing penalty fines for cheating drivers on carpool lanes.

"We support anything to help CHP with enforcement efforts because enforcing carpool lanes operation is a critical factor," said Rod Oto, Caltrans Traffic Operations Engineer. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
