CALTRAIN TRANSPORTATION TUNNEL IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) completed a new Caltrain tunnel in South Bay to make it easier for pedestrians and bicyclists. The tunnel project costing amount is $12 million and allowing pedestrians to walk from Santa Clara Caltrain station to Avaya Stadium for San Jose Earthquake soccer games. It also gives bicyclists and pedestrians a safe and easy pathway to the other side of Caltrain tracks. The tunnel connects Brokaw Road and Coleman Avenue to Caltrain and other transit public transportation. The Avaya Stadium is now accessible by Caltrain for San Jose Earthquake soccer fans within San Francisco Bay Area. The Caltrain underpass tunnel is approximately 80 feet long and runs under railway train tracks in conjunction with the underpass extension.
