The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) officials announced an arrest of a suspect for two unprovoked attacks on the train during a press conference at 6 AM Pacific Time. The BART Police released to the media images of a suspect on surveillance cameras and therein suspect was arrested hours later in downtown Oakland. The suspect was wanted for two attacks and suspected assaults with a deadly weapon on the BART train during the previous week. The witnesses shared with BART police officers information about the passenger assaults and attacks. One of the victims impacted by these assaults were taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the other victim received medical treatment on the scene. The BART administration recently installed surveillance cameras in time to capture those types of attacks on the trains and hopefully protecting passengers.
