SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - AIRLINES BANNING SMART BAGS CHECK-IN

It was announced some airlines are banning "smart bags" for air travelers unless the battery is removable for safety reasoning. A traveling smart bag includes electronic devices and smartphone chargers powered by lithium batteries, and may be unsafe for air travelers and airlines. The American, Delta, and Alaska airlines shared smart bags for passengers will no longer be allowed for check-in because lithium batteries may explode onboard. The airlines may allow passengers to bring their smart bag as a carry-on as long as lithium batteries are removed. The airlines safety approach is aligned with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulated policies for safety management and operation. The new policy for therein airlines will take effect on January 15, 2018 for air traveling passengers to avoid any unsafe activities onboard the airplanes.

"The airlines policy and actions are consistent with FAA guidance that lithium batteries should not be carried in cargo hold areas," said Laura Brown, FAA Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
