SANTA CRUZ METRO SERVICES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) services agency in South Bay updates their transit routes effective Thursday, June 10, 2021. The Santa Cruz METRO transit routes update will impact services during summertime until Wednesday, September 15, 2021. The transit agency will implement a new Route 18 services for Westside Santa Cruz and UCSC (University of California Santa Cruz) campus. The new transit Route 18 will replace Route 16 and providing 30 minutes frequency services between downtown Santa Cruz and UCSC campus. It will also serve Mission Street all day and providing access to Almar Shopping Center and Safeway, and replacing Route 3 services to therein shopping center. The transit agency Route 20 will operate all day along Delaware Avenue main routes and will no longer serve Safeway during evening hours. The Santa Cruz METRO Route 19 will operate with 30 minutes frequency to replace Route 16 services on Bay Drive - visit www.scmtd.com for more information and/or transit services update.
