SANTA CRUZ METRO NEW ROUTE WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Santa Cruz METRO (Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District) services agency in South Bay is launching a new transit route to Watsonville. The Santa Cruz METRO transit agency will host a ribbon cutting event at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Watsonville Transit Center and inviting the public to attend. The new routing transit services will provide 16 daily roundtrips during the week, and therein services will be on a looping circulating format from Watsonville Transit Center. The new transit routing services funding was awarded by LCTOP (Low Carbon Transit Operations Program) for $489,213 through Caltrans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The new transit services route will connect downtown transit center passengers with local retails and medical centers in Watsonville.
