The SCCRTC (Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission) services agency in South Bay is continuing their improvement project along Highway 1. The repair crew will construct auxiliary lanes going north and southbound between 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive. Including therein construction for bike riders and pedestrians overcrossing pathway at Chanticleer Avenue. The bike riders and pedestrians overcrossing pathway can be an alternative for safety reasoning and protection. The SCCRTC improvement project is awarded to Granite Construction in Watsonville, California and hoping to complete therein project by 2025 with $29 million. The construction project will include electrical work for lighting, as well as drainage and retaining wall development aspects.
