SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - BART COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency in San Francisco Bay Area is partnering with community agencies for safety events in the Bay Area. The BART partnering effort with community agencies will educate passengers with intervention techniques. To prevent sexual harassment on BART trains and helping young girls in the Bay Area, and aligned with therein Not One More Girl initiative. The community safety events will happen on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Downtown Berkeley Station, and Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Lake Merritt Station. The BART agency partnership with community agencies will offer informational materials to passengers for awareness. Including wallet-size cards for BART passengers to offer when a particular passenger needs assistance. The intervention wallet-size cards were developed by the young design team, and passengers can report on therein BART App for help with sexual harassment - visit www.bart.gov for more information and/or community event updates.
