SCCRTC PROJECT ROADWAY CLOSURE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SSCRTC (Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission) services agency in South Bay is closing Highway 1 in Capitola for thereby project construction. The SSCRTC roadway closures on Highway 1 will be effective Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 7 PM until Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 7 PM. The local project construction crew will start therein project demolition within 24 hours roadway closure. The current Capitola Avenue bridge will be fully demolished to rebuild a crossover bridge for pedestrians and bicycle riders. Including upgraded auxiliary lanes going northbound and southbound for Highway 1 improvement lanes, and thereby project will improve local traffic.
