SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - CALTRANS RAILWAY SERVICE UPDATES

The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) service agency in San Francisco Bay Area reconstructed their railway trains fleet to serve all passengers. The Caltrans engineering team reconstructed railway trains to become accessible for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) traveling passengers. It represents thereby Caltrans investment of $132 million with their infrastructure upgrades, and to ensure all traveling passengers are comfortable with their traveling activities. The Caltrans train fleet will now have better access for ADA passengers, and with more accessible aisles, restrooms, and doors. The new reconstructed fleet trains will be on thereby service tracks by 2026, and operating with daily roundtrips in the Bay Area.
