SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - MTC SPONSORED SUCCESSFUL EVENT

The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area with partnership agencies had a successful biking event this year! The MTC planning agency sponsored thereby BTWD (Bike To Work/Wherever Day) event, and with collaboration of bicycle coalition partners in the Bay Area. The event bicycle riders recorded more than 6,000 miles for therein Bay Area Bike Challenge on Thursday, May 16, 2024 alone. The MTC agency and bicycle coalition partners celebrated 30 years anniversary during thereby successful event in the Bay Area! All 2024 BTWD partnership agencies hosted more than 300 energizer stations for bike riders, and giving bike riders free energizing items inside the commemorative bags to refuel. The annual bicycle riding event reported more riders in many counties this year, and thereby reporting data shows 35% increase with participating riders of Bike to School Day - visit www.mtc.ca.gov for more information and/or successful event updates.
