SFMTA RIDERSHIP INCREASE WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit services in West Bay is increasing their ridership in higher levels in the Bay Area. The SFMTA services agency has been working on transit improvement projects, and it's showing ways and means of increasing muni ridership. The systemwide transit services showing 74% ridership increase during weekdays in September since the pandemic, and 92% ridership increase during weekends of pre-pandemic levels. The SFMTA overall local ridership increase is 78% of pre-pandemic levels, and that means improvement projects are paying off with greater positive impact. The muni passengers are riding more and transit services are safer for local traveling passengers.
