PASSENGER BUS ON FIRE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) was called to put out a 25 passenger bus on fire, at a Chevron gas station in South of Market neighborhood around 2:35 PM today. The bus pulled into the gas station and the vehicle engine appears to become overheated, and the driver called for help when returning from inside the gas station. The bus was engulfed with fire and SFFD crew put the fire out immediately, and fortunately no injures were reported and no passengers onboard the bus. There was little danger for gas pumps to explode because of safety measures required for gas stations during these types of fire situation. The SFFD crew was able to extinguish the fire before 3 PM today at Chevron gas station on Howard and 9th streets in San Francisco.
