MAN KILLED BY AMTRAK TRAIN IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

A man trespassing train tracks yesterday on Sunday night in Hayward, California was killed by the Amtrak train going to Sacramento around 10 PM. The passengers boarded another Amtrak train as officials investigate the incident, and the man was killed when officers arrived on the scene. Alameda County coroners office didn't release trespassing man's identity and train skirting system hit the man along the tracks. The train was carrying 19 passengers onboard and had to get on another train while officials investigate the incident situation. Officials said, no other injuries were reported, and Union Pacific owns identified train tracks - emphasized crossing tracks are only permitted where signs are posted.
