The U.S. Department of Transportation released their data report for the fourth quarter of 2015, and indicating airfares have not dropped since 2010. The average airline ticket costing rate at $363 during fourth quarter in 2015 and the previous year was $396. The average costing rate for a domestic airline ticket was $365 during 2010, and low costs in fuel and competition spurring the low costing airfares nationwide.
