NEW METRO CARS FOR SFMTA FLEET IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved new metro cars in San Francisco, and new cars will be accepted this coming Fall season. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) Board of Directors decided to upgrade fleet metro cars since 1990 and new LRVs (Light-Rail Vehicles) will be manufactured in Sacramento, California. The original plan is to have new LRVs running by the end of 2016 and not happening because of a processing delay. It includes nice interiors with spiffy exterior looking and should be in service during the Summer season next year. The LRVs are provided and manufactured through a $1.2 billion contract with Siemens for 215 new fabricated metro cars.

"The first 64 metro cars will be added to the fleet and allowing more cars in service, and prototypes should be done by the end of this year," said Paul Rose, SFMTA Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
