The traffic along highways and roadways in San Francisco Bay Area continues to get worse, and local agencies are studying how to improve traffic congestion and save fuel. The traffic study will take up to 6 months and finding out how drivers can be impacted by traffic signals and driving safely on the road. San Jose Department of Transportation officials are partnership with other agencies for the study and looking for 400 car drivers to participate. Each participating vehicle will be measured based on study equipment for logistical measurements, and car drivers will be awarded with prices. Drivers may see fuel economy and saving our local environment, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 10 percent.
