The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is considering a new tolling collection system avoiding car accidents. The latest report indicates 84 cars have crashed into the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza according to Golden Gate Bridge Highway Transportation District reports. The current toll plaza system have to be updated with new equipment and also avoiding cars crashing into it. The Golden Gate District Board of Directors is planning to tear down the old toll plaza and have a new toll plaza system in place during 2018. The new tolling plaza system will be crash-free and collecting toll fees from cars electronically as the replacement. The proposal toll metal bar will be installed with cameras and sending vehicle identification information to appropriate data collection locations.
