BART ENVIRONMENT SUSTAINABILITY IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency in San Francisco Bay Area is sustaining our environment as part of their development action plan. The BART Warm Springs Station environmental surrounding areas in East Bay was toured by Wildlife Biologist, Michele Barlow of ERM Consulting Firm. She pointed out a bird singing with a spring seasonal song during her tour at BART Warm Springs Station, and the bird's song echoed within the station rotunda. Some environmental points she mentioned is wildlife dependent on water, and BART Warm Springs Station exemplifies how it manages storm water. The BART station is filled with native grass and other environmental plants that direct storm water runoff, and removing debris as well as filtering out polluting elements.
