San Francisco Bay Area BART transportation is closing down transbay services over Labor Day weekend for safety repairs. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) will provide alternative free bus transit services from 19th Street service station in Oakland to a temporary Transbay Terminal (2 blocks from Embarcadero Station) in downtown San Francisco. BART transbay tube will be closed for 3 days and reopen on Tuesday morning during regular commuting hours for passengers. The BART shutting down and traffic congestion in San Francisco will be horrible because of Third Street roadway repairs and Billy Joel is having a concert at AT&T Park. The BART transbay tube closure will make things harder for people in the bay area, and BART officials are encouraging people to stay home if there's no need to cross the bay.
