BATA BRIDGE TOLL PROGRAM WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The BATA (Bay Area Toll Authority) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is launching a new bridge toll payment program to help drivers in the Bay Area. The BATA is partnering with GGBHTD (Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District) to kick-off therein toll paying assistance programs in the Bay Area. The identified toll paying assistance programs will begin on Sunday, January 1, 2023 for eligible drivers. The first program is a Low-Income Waiver Program and second program is for U.S. Military Veterans, to get therein toll paying assistance when they are eligible. The BATA partnership effort will have a policy in place by Saturday, July 1, 2023 to institute therein two toll paying assistance programs. The new bridge toll paying assistance programs are aligned with state legislations, AB2594 (Assembly Bill 2594) and AB2949 (Assembly Bill 2949).
