BART USING CLIPPER CARDS ONLY IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency announced effective Monday, June 8, 2020, other stations will use Clipper cards only to get on trains within San Francisco Bay Area. The BART agency is expanding their advocacy for passengers to use Clipper cards only to pay without paper tickets.

SFMTA BIKING IMPROVEMENT WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) data shows 14% improvement for passengers in West Bay riding their bicycles within The City. The SFMTA data was comparative to last year's bicycle riding information at 37 locations during morning and evening traffic commuting hours.

SMART TRAIN CANCEL SERVICES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) trains in North Bay cancels all weekend services effective immediately until further notice. The SMART Board of Directors have to make therein services decision aligned with community feedback and/or with decreasing ridership.

SJC AIRPORT EXPANSION PLAN WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SJC (Mineta San Jose International Airport) airline flights have been decreased by 97% and is planning to expand the airport in South Bay. The SJC Airport plans to add a concourse with gates and parking garage for airport vehicles, and upgrades for runways and aviation facilities.

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) agency is updating some minor service changes in East Bay effective Sunday, June 14, 2020. The AC Transit modified their routing schedules on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 because of therein COVID-19 health pandemic in San Francisco Bay Area.

OAK AIRPORT REPORTS 96% DROP IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The OAK (Oakland International Airport) reports 96% decrease for air travelers last month in April 2020 at East Bay compared to last year. The OAK Airport reports therein dramatic decrease since the state Shelter-In-Place order was in place and limited the airport operation.
