CALTRAIN ELECTRIFICATION FEDERAL FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The 2017 Federal Budget for consideration includes $100 million for Caltrain electrification project and San Francisco Bay Area infrastructure investment. The $73 million is already approved and earmarked within Federal Core Capacity funding and congress will review tentative budget for final approval. The FTA (Federal Transit Administration) will make the final funding appropriation and Caltrain officials believe it's a good sign. The FTA will issue an FFGA (Full Funding Grant Agreement) when all budgetary matters are approved for allocation with identified agencies. The Caltrain contractors are prepared to begin construction when funding is finally approved and putting people to work.

"We are hoping this signals the administration is prepared to move forward with the grant and we can start construction," said Seamus Murphy, Caltrain Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
