The Caltrain public hearing session will happen on Monday, July 22, 2024 to consider thereby promotional fare amounts for local youth passengers. The Caltrain staffing personnel will have a presentation during thereby public hearing session for awareness, and people can become aware of therein youth fares promotional amounts. The Caltrain Board of Directors will make thereby final decision during their meeting on Thursday, August 1, 2024 if youth passengers fare should increase and/or provide discount fare amounts. The Caltrain promotional effort is to increase ridership onboard transporting trains, and data shows previous promotional efforts indicate 43% higher ridership.
