The San Francisco Bay Area Caltrain system has launch it's website (www.caltrain.com/thereishelp) to prevent suicide, and recognizing Railroad Safety month with an outreach prevention approach. Caltrain has reported 14 fatalities per year for the past 5 years and this approach is reaching out to people with resources, and preventing suicide on Caltrain railroad tracks. Caltrain transportation staff members have been working closely with mental health experts for advice and advisory direction for suicide prevention, because suicide can be prevented and always good to hear directly from experts.
