The $1.6 billion Central Subway in San Francisco has delayed completion and hurting local Chinatown businesses. The new opening is now scheduled for sometime in December 2019 and almost a year later with contractual differences. Some of Chinatown businesses are not securing financial revenues because of therein Central Subway delays with poor developmental planning. A clothing shop in Chinatown called Hong Kong Outlet opened 25 years ago and financially suffering with limited customers because of the Central Subway construction. The San Francisco Central Subway would take T-3rd railway passengers all the way to Chinatown and having more customers for Chinatown merchants. Unfortunately, the subway construction delays will create more suffering time for local Chinatown businesses with limited customers.
