The plans to add toll lanes on Highway-101 within San Mateo County, California has been authorized and Caltrans will have an implementation process. Hopefully this plan will ease traffic congestion along Highway-101 within the Peninsula regional area. Toll lanes will be along the highway from Oregon Expressway in Palo Alto to Whipple Avenue in Redwood City, and new express lane will be free for carpooling vehicles. Caltrans will also plan to have carpool lanes along each direction of Highway-101 from Whipple Avenue to the highway interchange onto I-380 highway in South San Francisco. Caltrans is planning to have a community meeting for local input during 6 PM tonight at San Mateo City Hall, 330 W. 20th Avenue in San Mateo, California.
