The Muni Transit system is a main public transportation for residents and working class people in San Francisco including families and children. SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is shutting down Market Street Subway and Twin Peaks Tunnel for updated transportation repairs. The plan is to shut down effectively on Friday, July 31, 2015 for approximately 6 months during the subway repairs. Repairing work includes installation of a new digital systems, blue lights, and replacing old analog system in the subway. Including more advanced communication system for emergencies as well as safety transportation for passengers. Shuttle buses will be available for transportation including reroutes for other lines to compensate people to ride around the city.
