Over budget Transbay Transit center amid troublesome activities

The over budget San Francisco Transbay Transit center will be available by the end of December. It will cost around $2.4 billion to run the plan and nobody has a single clue as to where the money will come from for the plan execution.

The three-floor organization, the Grand Central Station of the West will be capable of holding buses and high-speed rail. It would allow more than 100,000 visitors to pass by it on the daily basis.

Aaron Peskin, chairman of San Francisco’s Transportation Authority said: “The elephant in the living room is solving the operating subsidy problem, which could be as large as $20 million a year — and without a source of revenue”.

The transit center would most probably remain open with its 65 security guards along with police and sheriffs. It also includes a janitor staff and maintenance workers.

The leading business software giant Salesforce has offered a deal under which it will give $3 million in return of its banner on the center of the 5.4-acre public garden near the transit center. However, the news is not confirmed yet.

On the other hand, the authority confirmed that it has been working hard to find a solution for the money issues.
