A petition online with 61,500 signatures to rename Waldo Tunnel to Robin Williams Tunnel is progressively moving forward at the state capitol legislative chambers. The State Assembly unanimously approved renaming legislation yesterday and going to State Senate for approval as part of a procedural process. The 63 year old comedian and actor Robin Williams committed suicide at his home in Tiburon on August 2014, and touched many people in San Francisco Bay Area as well as nationwide. Some of his fans said, "he was a great funny man with a loving heart and caring for all people." Robin Williams was raised in Marin County and lived most of his life there with family and friends enjoying the views and tasty restaurant food. The assembly legislation was authored and proposed by a Robin Williams fan and local political leader in San Francisco Bay Area.
