RECRUITING CITIZENS FOR OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The public transportation agency serving Santa Clara County is recruiting community citizens to serve on Measure-B oversight committee. The voters in Santa Clara County recently approved therein tax measure to help with local transportation improvement projects. The Measure-B tax initiative will raise $6.4 billion within next 30 years, and not including matching funds during that period - collection will begin April 1, 2107. The measure is to establish a committee of 8 citizenship members and VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) will manage improvement projects. The focus is to have local citizens oversee transit projects and Measure-B funding allocations as necessary.
