The Uber and Lyft drivers have been going through many challenging issues in San Francisco Bay Area. The drivers are now getting some relief regarding our recent posting about Uber and Lyft drivers have to pay more for license fee penalties, interest, etc. The San Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collecting Office is extending filing time for Uber and Lyft drivers to file for a business license. The SEIU 1021 union contacted San Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collecting administrators to have Uber and Lyft company pay for driver's business license fees. The union leaders are calling upon the TNC (Transportation Networking Companies) ride-hailing agencies, to pay their fair share to protect employees, drivers, and passengers.
