The annual report of San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency talks about the latest meeting of SFMTA board of directors.
Last week’s discussion of directors at the SFMTA board revealed more details. The results demonstrated many cases which showcased a few defeats of Muni Corporation. The numbers reveal that there is an increase in the number of workplace injuries in comparison to the last two years. Also, there is a four-time increase in Muni vehicles collisions.
As per the report, there were 12.8 workplace injuries for 200,000 work hours in 2016. In 2015, there were 11 injuries per 200,000 work hours. Though, it was much lesser than that of 2013, in which the number of accidents was 13.8 per 200,000 hours.
The desired goal which was mentioned in the annual report straight away aims at reducing this injury rates at least by 10 percent after every two years.
The report clearly states “Collisions were at a high of 6.6 for every 100,000 vehicle miles traveled, which was higher than 2013, 2014 and 2015”. This is the lowest number of collision in comparison to last four years.
It said Muni’s current concert comes around to 59.8 percent. This is a higher rate than that of 2015.
