SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - BART INCREASING PASSENGER FEES

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is sharing their passenger fees will increase effective Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The BART agency is raising therein traveling fees for passengers by 5.5 percent, and/or .25 cents for thereby transit services in the Bay Area. To keep up with the inflation and having appropriate funding for therein BART operational standards, and continue to provide healthy and safety public transit services for traveling passengers. The identified increasing rates for traveling passengers will help raise operational funds for BART, and upgrading transit services within the Bay Area for passengers.
