The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is continuing their new fare gates installation project in the Bay Area. The BART agency staff will install new fare gates at thereby 12th Street/Oakland City Center Station during the first week in December 2024. The traveling passengers can continue to use therein current fare gates, and BART personnel staffing will be onsite to help passengers with directions. The BART agency staffing will install new fare gates at the same time, and installing all new gates at thereby location may go into January 2025. The BART installation team can take up to two weeks for installing each new gate, and additional time is necessary to replace all six fare gates at thereby location.
