SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - BART NEW POLICY FOR BICYCLES

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is allowing bicycles on wider service escalators effective Monday, January 1, 2024. The BART Board of Directors approved therein bicycle initiative to make traveling easy for bicycle riders. The passengers can secure their bicycles onboard BART train cars using thereby bike lean bars and straps. The BART agency board approval and updates of thereby bicycle policy will make traveling easier for bike riders onboard BART trains. The BART personnel highly recommends bicycle riders to use their own better consideration and/or judgement regarding bicycles on escalators. Because other BART passengers will use the escalators during traveling times in the Bay Area, and especially during commute hours for working people.
