The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area is temporarily closing Pittsburg Center Station for repairs effective Saturday, March 8, 2025. The BART repairing team will install Next Generation Fare Gates at Pittsburg Center Station on Saturday and Sunday, March 9, 2025. The transit agency will operate BART trains within thereby service area location, and operating trains will not stop at Pittsburg Center Station. The BART train service area closure will provide appropriate time, and opportunity for thereby repair team to safely install new fare gates for future generations. The BART trains will depart earlier and/or arrive later from Antioch, and encouraging passengers to check thereby service schedules. The transit agency will provide free shuttles for passengers traveling between Pittsburg Center Station and Pittsburg/Bay Point, and safely arrive at their final destination - visit www.bart.gov for more information and/or schedules update.
