The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) state services agency in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide was able to recognize their employees with honorable awards. The Caltrans state agency honored thereby nine employees with the Governor's Medal of Valor awards. The State of California Governor's State Employee Medal of Valor is the highest recognition of state employees, and for their courageous and heroism duty performance on the job. The honorary Medal of Valor recognition award is provided for state employees every year, and appreciating their on duty job performance. The nine Caltrans recognition employees put their lives on the line to save another human life, and while working on local Caltrans projects and saving a human life in dangerous condition.
