The Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) agency is improving pedestrians and bicyclists with safety statewide projects. Including safety projects within District 4 covering San Francisco Bay Area regional pedestrians and/or bicyclists local projects. The Caltrans statewide improvement projects will improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists in regional communities. The Caltrans agency will invest $1.05 billion to increase pedestrians and/or bicyclists safety with therein projects in the Bay Area and statewide. The state agency unveiled their CAT (California Active Transportation) Plans with local pedestrians and/or bicyclists improvement projects. The Caltrans CAT Plans for local projects will increase safety for pedestrians and/or bicyclists. The state agency CAT Plans approach is aligned and consistent with therein 2017 State Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan for safety enhancement - visit www.dot.ca.gov for more information and/or pedestrian and bicyclist projects update.
