SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA DRIVER SAVED BEFORE CALTRAINS HIT

The Caltrain transportation runs from San Jose to San Francisco throughout the Peninsula in San Francisco Bay Area and hit a car on railroad tracks yesterday. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was saved by patrolling officers before his car was hit by the train. The driver was transported to Stanford Hospital for his non-serious minor injuries and was cited for unlawful appearance of driving under the influence including other unlawful violations. San Mateo County Sheriff Department's Deputy Lance Whitted and Deputy Erik Rueppel assigned to patrol the Caltrain transit area, and helped save the driver before his car was hit by the train during the incident in Sunnyvale, California.
